Hi, I am Shalyn Ram, a primary teacher and a single mum to my beautiful daughter, Shaani. Our journey to homeownership has been a significant and rewarding experience, and I’m excited to share our story with you.
A few years ago, I first heard about the Housing Foundation programmes from my principal. Given my financial situation at the time, I was struggling to enter the property market, so the opportunity to explore these programmes was very appealing.
From the moment I reached out, the team at Housing Foundation were incredibly friendly and supportive. They guided me through the entire process with patience and expertise, which made the journey much smoother.
On 22 June 2023, I moved into our new house, and it has been a joy ever since. The house is just the right size for my family, cozy, and perfectly suited to our needs. My daughter especially loves having her own room and space, which has been a wonderful change for us.
We’ve found the neighbourhood to be fantastic. The neighbours are friendly and understanding, and many of them have children as well. The location is ideal, with easy access to all the facilities we need and proximity to my school.
Partnering with Housing Foundation has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. The support and guidance I received were invaluable, and I’m genuinely happy with our new home. I would highly recommend others to have a chat with them if they are considering homeownership. The programme has made a significant difference in our lives and I’m grateful for the opportunity.
Kind regards
Shalyn
